OBJECTIVES

Take all reasonable steps to prevent work related incidents and disease through the recognition, evaluation, control, and, whenever practical, the removal of hazards

Promote the awareness of occupational health and safety issues and safe work practices and procedures

Promote and protect the psychological and social well-being of all employees, contractors and visitors.

Maintain an effective Safety Management System

Maintain compliance with provincial and federal occupational health and safety legislation.

At Billy Gruff we take safety seriously! We value the people and friends we work with and make their mental and physical well-being a top priority. Nothing we do is worth getting hurt over and our management team is well versed in hazard assessment and safe work procedures. We empower all employees to make good decisions that place worker safety over production values. We pride ourselves on our Safety Management System and are dedicated to continually improving our SMS through the use of review, audits and employee feedback. The best defense against injury and loss is knowledge and we believe that through continuous training, pre-employment physical conditioning and by empowering all our employees to make smart, safe forestry decisions that we can achieve zero lost time incidents on every project.
COVID-19 Update: Billy Gruff has a Covid-19 safety program in place and has developed safe work and emergency procedures accordingly.
